Draft Pick Tried Belgium but Would be First Available against Chivas USA March 23 Having rejected Anderlecht and K.V. Mechelen earlier this year, central defender Jeff Parke is set to become a Seattle Sounder. Four months ago, Parke was chosen by Sounders FC in the expansion draft. Contract talks with him were discontinued shortly thereafter when he decided to try and continue his career in Belgium’s Jupiler League. Two months after that, Parke has finally arrived back in Seattle after opting to not pursue those opportunities.
