Forward Jarrod Smith was called up to the New Zealand squad for a friendly with Thailand in Bangkok this Saturday. Smith is currently on the injured reserve list while recovering from a hip-flexor strain. He had played for the Seattle reserves on March 20, but had not appeared in any preseason matches. Smith has earned 13 caps for New Zealand in the past.
